How is it different from the classic baby swing?
The premium baby swing is a reimagined version of the classic baby swing. We added an extra zipper to the cover, giving the swing an additional function. This allows you to adjust the lying surface to an almost completely horizontal position while your child is in the swing when it is time to fall asleep. In addition, the newborn cushion provides greater comfort for the smallest babies—not only through enhanced spinal support but also by making breathing easier.
What do I need to put in the cart to be able to use the swing?
The premium baby swing comes to you as a complete package: the swing, one 0–10 kg spring, a hook, and the cushion or cushions of your choice are included in the package.
First time using it—how should we place the baby in the swing?
A baby’s first encounter with the swing is a very important and defining experience. If possible, time it so that the baby is neither tired nor hungry. During the first session, it is worth showing the baby the ADAMO swing and explaining exactly what is going to happen. Kneel or squat down so that your upper body is level with the baby swing, facing it with the leg opening toward you. Maintain eye contact with the baby and, carefully lowering yourself to the height of the swing, place your baby inside. Stay calm, convey that something enjoyable is about to happen, and laugh or smile at your baby. It is important never to swing the baby vigorously the first time; instead, gently rock the baby. If you gradually get the baby accustomed to the swing, you can swing more energetically later, but this should never happen during the first session. It is advisable to equip the baby swing with a spring suitable for the child’s weight and, while rocking, familiarize the baby with it through gentle up-and-down movements.
Why can the swing be used from the very first moment?
The swing is safe from the newborn stage. It replaces a cradle and combines it with a swing. In South American countries, cradles are also used in incubators, as rocking premature babies helps accelerate and stabilize their weight gain. Babies with colic forget about their uncomfortable stomach cramps while rocking and soon calm down. The child sinks into the fabric under their own weight, and this enveloping sensation is soothing. Their small head does not rest on a hard surface, so it is not subjected to pressure. However, it is very important that if a parent notices an asymmetrical posture (the baby always turns their head in one direction, or their body curves to one side in a C shape), they consult a specialist before use.
How long can my child stay in the swing?
This depends on age, interest, and vestibular maturity. Some young children are very sensitive to vestibular stimulation, while others immediately enjoy and ask to be swung. We recommend using it actively for shorter periods several times a day instead (with play and swinging for 10–15 minutes, up to 3–4 times a day). If the baby falls asleep in it, there is no need to worry; nothing bad can happen. However, once babies are crawling—and for older children—their little legs should be placed through the designated openings. Do not let the little one out of your sight!
