This list could be extremely long, but generally speaking, it is best to avoid all medications that do not contain paracetamol. Popular pain relievers of this kind in Hungary include Algopyrin and Neo Citran, for example. In general, these are not good for the mother or fetus during pregnancy. 

How can I treat a cold naturally during pregnancy? 

Because this is a particularly sensitive period, using natural methods is much safer when you have a cold during pregnancy. Here are some options: 

  1. Warm saltwater gargleDissolve one teaspoon of salt in a cup of warm water and gargle with it. This may help reduce a sore throat and swelling. 
  1. Diffuser or humidifier: These help keep the air moist, which can relieve throat and nasal irritation.

Therefore, a cold during pregnancy does not necessarily cause problems for us or our baby.
